Solar/Wind Hybrid System
A solar/wind hybrid system produces electricity by combining solar and wind energy. The system consists of a photovoltaic module,a wind turbine,batteries tha store the energy produced, a charge regulator and an inverter that regulates consumption.
The system can supply power that varies from 1.2kWh to 15.3kWh and costs from € 1.700 to € 11.000. A 8.5kWh solar/wind hubrid system can supply (dependin on orientation and local wind speeds) the energy necessary to operate 100W T.V. set for 4 hours, a 200W computer for 3 hours, an A+ energy class medium sized refrigerator 180W , a small 300W oven for 2 hours, a 50W DVD for 2 hours, an A+ energy class medium sized washing machine 1500W, and lighting installation system consisted of 6 energy saver bulbs 11W for 8 hours.
